Boost Before You Break

Dear 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß Students, Faculty and Staff,

Spring break is just three weeks away, and we know that many of you already are making plans for spending time with friends and family, traveling and relaxing.

We hope that you will consider getting a boost before you break. If you have completed your COVID-19 vaccine requirement and are at least five months past your last shot (two months if you got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine), you are now eligible for the added protection of a COVID-19 booster shot.

COVID-19 booster shots are not required by the university as part of our vaccine requirement, however, they are strongly recommended, particularly to those who may be traveling and gathering with large groups of people over break.

We have been very fortunate this semester that the number of cases of COVID-19 has remained relatively low on all our campuses. We want to see that trend continue to the end of the semester, which is why the university is strongly encouraging the COVID-19 booster shot.

Did you know that if you encounter someone who has COVID-19 but you are up to date with your vaccines, including your booster shot, you don’t have to quarantine?

Booster shots also have been shown to keep COVID-19 symptoms mild (in many instances, less than the common cold) for those who do contract the virus.

on the Kent Campus and at numerous other , many of which are very convenient to our Regional Campuses. Once you get a booster shot, please let us know your status by reporting your booster shot here.

Please consider getting boosted before spring break so that you bring back only good memories and not a case of COVID-19.

Sincerely,
