In 2006, Betty Sutton became the first 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß alumna to serve in the U.S. Congress, when she was elected to represent Ohio’s 13th District in the House of Representatives. Sixteen years later, 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
